Are you in a relationship that doesn’t feel safe?

Do you feel like there is something missing in your life?

Have you always had to be the strong one?

Do you adopt the role of fixer, or peacemaker?

Have these things left you feeling exhausted and unable to just say “STOP!”

About me…

If you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed or anxious, you might be wondering why you have these feelings.

I offer a warm, safe, down-to-earth space for people who feel stuck in survival mode —numb, constantly overthinking, or quietly struggling behind a capable exterior.

My style is supportive, honest and real. I work actively and alongside you, helping you identify patterns of behaviour, make sense of why you keep ending up in the same situations, and understand why you struggle to trust yourself.

My work is shaped by both professional training and lived experience. I know what it feels like to have the foundations beneath you disappear. Maybe a tough divorce, redundancy or being in a relationship that doesn’t feel emotionally safe.

I also understand the reality of people-pleasing, and what it’s like to lose your sense of self over time.

I have strong working-class roots, and bring no judgement or labels — it’s about real change at a pace that suits you.

Open brick doorway with a pale green door slightly ajar, leading into a dimly lit corridor. Sign above the entrance reads 'Health at Hart' with the tagline 'Body, Mind, Soul' and a website address. There is a small sign on the brick wall to the right mentioning osteopathy. Sunlight casts shadows on the brick wall and sidewalk.

A dirt path winding through a dense forest with tall trees and sunlight filtering through the leaves.
A small pond surrounded by greenery with benches and a gazebo, in a neighborhood park with houses and trees in the background.

“I was reluctant to engage with therapy, but having suffered some trauma, I knew some things had to change. By staying the course with James, I have discovered things about me that I didn’t previously know; this has changed my approach to life; the impact has been MASSIVELY positive. James is a Godsend of a bloke!“
